Description

The Specialization in Public Relations is open to students in the Honours program in Communications.

This specialization provides students with a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of public relations. Students will learn how to craft strategic communications messages for a range of platforms, plan and execute events, and effectively work with the media. The selected courses in this specialization are designed to provide ideal preparation for a career in the field of public-facing strategic communication.

Students who have fulfilled the requirements for an Honours degree in Communications may graduate with a Specialization in Public Relations if they have successfully completed the following 4.0 credits:

  • 3.0 COMM credits consisting of COMM 2002H, 2005H, 3001H, 3002H, 3003H, and 4001H

  • 1.0 credit from ADMN 2080H, ANTH-MDST 4820H, CUST-MDST 3535H, or SOCI-CAST-MDST 3450H
