Trent President Dr. Cathy Bruce

Welcome to a new academic year at Trent.

It is a privilege to be part of a university where students and faculty come together, across our Peterborough and Durham campuses, to learn with purpose and build community. Trent is the place to be and to become, shaped by the people you meet and the experiences you take on here.

At Trent, you will find an environment built on connection. We stand out by standing closer. That means you learn in close collaboration with faculty and peers, engaging deeply with ideas and applying your knowledge in meaningful ways. This approach reflects what defines a Trent education: thoughtful inquiry, relevant experiences and opportunities that open pathways to what comes next.

In a time when the role of universities continues to evolve, that experience matters. Trent prepares you with knowledge and the ability to think critically, adapt, and contribute to the world with confidence. Our graduates leave Trent ready to navigate change and to shape the communities and careers they enter.

This Academic Calendar is a guide to that journey. It outlines your program and options, and helps you make informed choices along the way. As you move through your studies, I encourage you to stay connected to the people and resources around you. Your college, your instructors, and student supports are here to help you succeed.

As you begin or continue your time at Trent, I hope you will take full advantage of what this community offers. In doing so, you will find your direction and contribute to the life of the University in ways that will stay with you long after you graduate.

I look forward to seeing you on campus and hearing about your experiences.
