A unique multidisciplinary degree program with strong foundations in sociology, psychology, education, and the humanities, this degree will inspire students to think about child and youth development from a number of perspectives. Students will learn about child and youth rights and legal issues, and how children develop emotionally, socially, artistically, intellectually, and physically.
INFORMATION & ADDITIONAL NOTES
A limited number of spaces in Trent University’s Consecutive Bachelor of Education program are reserved each year for students in the Honours program in Child & Youth Studies. To be considered, students must make an application through the Teacher Education Application Service (www.ouac.on.ca/teas). The top six students who have a minimum average of 75% or higher on their last 10.0 credits at time of application, and who meet all Child & Youth Studies and undergraduate degree requirements, will be offered guaranteed admission to the BEd program at Trent. Child & Youth Studies students who do not meet the above criteria are still encouraged to apply and will be considered for admission on an individual basis.
