Overview

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Program in Artificial Intelligence

The single-major Honours program. 20 credits including the following 11.0 credits:

  • 5.0 AIST credits consisting of AIST 1000H, 1400H, 2000H, 2010H, 3550H, 3561H, 3570H, 4400H, 4550H, and 4851H

  • 1.0 AIST credit from AIST 3270H, 3410H, or 4270H

  • 2.5 COIS credits consisting of COIS 1020H, 2020H, 2040H, 2240H, and 3510H

  • 1.5 MATH credits consisting of MATH 1110H, 1350H, and 1550H

  • 1.0 credit from AIST 3004H, AIST 3960H, AIST 4430H, AIST 4445H, AIST 4570H, COIS 3040H, or MATH-COIS 3350H

In addition to the program requirements listed above, students must satisfy the University degree requirements, including 14.0 science credits and 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.

The joint-major Honours program. 20.0 credits including the following 9.0 credits:

  • 4.0 AIST credits consisting of AIST 1000H, 1400H, 2000H, 2010H, 3550H, 3570H, 4550H, and 4851H

  • 0.5 AIST credit from AIST 3270H or 3410H

  • 0.5 AIST credit from AIST 4270H, 4430H, or 4445H

  • 2.5 COIS credits consisting of COIS 1020H, 1620H, 2020H, 2040H, and 3510H

  • 1.5 MATH credits consisting of MATH 1110H, 1350H, and 1550H

In addition to the program requirements listed above, students must satisfy the University degree requirements, including 14.0 science credits and 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.

The same course may not simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both programs in a joint-major degree.

Due to overlapping requirements, it is not possible to combine Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science in a joint-major degree.
