Master of Science in Computer Sciences.

Complete the following requirements:

  • 2.0 credits from approved COIS graduate course list

  • Thesis

  • Successful completion of thesis oral defence

Note: The same course cannot be used to meet multiple degree requirements

  • Requires students to complete four half-credit courses (totaling 2.0 credits) from the list of approved courses.

  • Candidates are required to submit and be examined on a research thesis supervised by one of the core faculty listed above. Selection for the research topic is made by the student together with her/his supervisor and graduate supervisory committee (typically two or three core faculty members including the supervisor).

The following courses from Applied Modelling & Quantitative Methods (AMOD) are available to COIS MSc students but students may only count one (1) AMOD course towards the COIS MSc degree:

  1. AMOD-5410H Big Data

  2. AMOD-5420H High Performance Computing

  3. AMOD-5430H Data Visualization

  4. AMOD-5440H Data Mining
