Bachelor of Arts Program in Artificial Intelligence
The single-major Honours program. 20 credits including the following 10.0 credits:
3.0 AIST credits consisting of AIST 1000H, 1400H, 3004H, 3270H, 3550H, and 4270H
2.5 COIS credits consisting of COIS 1020H, 1620H, 2240H, 3510H and 3560H
1.0 PHIL credit consisting of PHIL 2270H and 2410H
1.0 PHIL credit from PHIL 1000H, 1100H, or 1200H
0.5 PHIL credit from PHIL 3320H or PHIL-AIST 3410H
0.5 PHIL credit from PHIL 3360H or 3370H
0.5 PHIL credit from PHIL 4540H or 4710H
1.0 credit from AIST 2030H, 3030H, 3653H, 3960H, 4258H, 4430H, 4445H, ADMN 3610H, COIS 3030H, COIS-MDST 3820H, or LSCM 3000H
In addition to the program requirements listed above, students must satisfy the University Degree requirements, including 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.
The joint-major Honours program. 20.0 credits including the following 8.5 credits:
3.0 AIST credits consisting of AIST 1000H, 1400H, 3004H, 3270H, 3550H, and 4270H
2.5 COIS credits consisting of COIS 1020H, 1620H, 2240H, 3510H, and 3560H
1.0 PHIL credit consisting of PHIL 2270H and 2410H
1.0 PHIL credit from PHIL 1000H, 1100H, or 1200H
0.5 PHIL credit from PHIL 3320H, 3360H, 3370H, or PHIL-AIST 3410H
0.5 credit from AIST 4430H, AIST 4445H, PHIL 4540H, or PHIL 4710H
In addition to the program requirements listed above, students must satisfy the University Degree requirements, including 0.5 credit from the Approved Indigenous Course List.
The same course may not simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both programs in a joint-major degree.
Due to overlapping requirements, it is not possible to combine Artificial Intelligence and Computing Systems in a joint-major Honours degree. A joint major is possible between Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy, but no credit may be double-counted.
